Tennis Urn
The Tennis Urn takes its name from the interlocking C-shapes of a tennis ball, then sends that geometry bouncing through Joseph Urban’s concentric acoustic shells. Its lines follow the seam with compulsive fidelity, repeating beyond reason until a diagram thickens into a vessel and starts to sound like architecture.

The Tennis Urn is a rounded vessel form defined by interlocking C-shaped bands that recall the seams of a tennis ball. The same nested geometry gives the piece an architectural undertone, as the repeated bands shift from graphic motif into structural rhythm and lend the vessel a sense of pattern made physical.
