Time

In his landmark Pompidou center Renzo Piano took building services like plumbing and ductwork (typically hidden away in a core) and banished them to the facade as a kind of architectural decor.

My client the Times was open to returning the favor—taking Piano’s calibrated facade and bringing it inside to create furniture and interiors. It reflects the Times identity and is an interesting idea.
